Ladies of St. Kevin Baby Shower Success

Last Sunday's Baby Shower sponsored by the Ladies of St. Kevin (LSK) once again confirmed the amazing generosity of St. Kevin Parish and proved a great success by the amount and variety of items donated to Rhode Island Right to Life Services's Maternity Hope Chest.

On Tuesday, members of LSK delivered $560 in cash donations along with two baby strollers; a Pack 'N Play portable playard; multiple hand-knitted blankets and bootie sets; clothing, outfits and diapers in every infant and toddler size; and a great variety of the essentials needed for the proper and appropriate care of a baby including grooming, toiletries, skincare, and medical needs.

Anna Fulton with some of the items that were delivered to the Maternity Hope Chest on Tuesday. Staff representatives brought the members of Ladies of St. Kevin to the diaper cabinet, showing shelves depleted of the items needed to create the personalized care packages for mothers and families. Recently mothers have been turned away due to a lack of diapers. In the words of Right to Life staffers, "this delivery was a godsend."

The Ladies of St. Kevin would like to thank all parishioners for your encouragement and support with all of our projects and in all of our activities over the past year. Our next meeting is Monday, June 15 at 7 p.m. in Father O'Hara Hall and we do not meet in July and August, but will start up again in September. Please consider joining us in the fall for an opportunity to meet parishioners and become involved in our meaningful and relevant mission work.
