Our parish community is happy to welcome Mr. John Thien Nguyen, a seminarian for the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon, who will begin his pastoral year internship with us on June 1.
John is currently studying at Mount Angel Seminary and has recently completed his second year of Theology. He is a Vietnamese American, born and raised in the United States. His family lives in Portland, and his home parish is Our Lady of La Vang Parish.
As part of his seminary formation, the Vocation Office has assigned him to our parish for an eight-month pastoral internship program. During this time, he will have the opportunity to experience the life of a diverse parish community and to learn about the many ministries that serve our different ethnic communities.
We are grateful to have John with us and invite all parishioners to warmly welcome and support him during this important stage of his formation. Please keep him in your prayers as he continues his journey toward the priesthood.
Father John is highly regarded by visitors.
