Volunteer Help for Summer Program Prep
During the month of July, the Religious Education Department is looking for volunteers (8th grade and up) to come in and help us prepare for the Summer Program which begins on Sunday, August 2nd. The hours are 12pm to 2pm, Monday thru Thursday. We will be happy to fill out community service forms for those who volunteer.

THE RAT TRAP
A rat peeks thru a crack in the wall and sees the farmer and his wife opening a package. Horrors ! A rat trap. Rat runs into the barn proclaiming a warning
"Rat trap in the house" Chicken clucked, raised her head and said "Excuse me Mr Rat, it's of no concern to me, I cannot be bothered." Rat turned to pig and gave the same warning. Pig said "Excuse me "lm so sorry, but not my problem".
Rat turned to Cow. Cow said "Like wow, Mr Rat….a rat , I guess I'm in real danger ….duhh !!! So the sad liƩle guy returned home with no friends to face danger.
Young Energetic Seniors!
That very night, the trap went off. Farmers wife checked to see what was caught. It was a venomous snake and it bit her. Farmer rushed her to the hospital. She returned with a fever. Now everyone knows that you treat a fever with chicken soup , so farmer took his hatchet to the barn to get the soups main ingredient. The wife got sicker so friends and neighbors came to sit with her. To feed them , the farmer butchered the pig. Wife died shortly aŌer that and so many people came to the funeral that the farmer had to slaughter the cow to feed them all.
MORAL: The next Ɵme that you hear that someone is facing a problem that you think doesn't concern you, Remember …. that when there is a "Rat trap" in the house, the whole farmyard is at risk.

A group of professionals posed this quesƟon to a group of 4 to 8 year olds. "What does love mean "? The answers got broader and deeper than they had imagined. Here are a few:
Love is when mommy makes coffee for daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him , to make sure it tastes ok. Age 7,
Love is when you tell a guy that you like his shirt, and he wears it every day. Age 7
Love is when mommy gives daddy the best piece of chicken. Age. 5
Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving loƟon , and they go out and smell each other. Age. 5
If you want to learn to love beƩer , you should start with a friend that you hate ! Age 6
Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and just listen. Age 5
